How we got here.
George Abro found the mortgage business while studying finance at Michigan State University. He started working in it after graduating in 2015, with one goal: help people reach real financial stability.
Nathan Shamo was on a different path entirely. He had earned a doctorate in pharmacy when a conversation at a family gathering turned into a career change.
The two founded MortgagePros in Troy, Michigan in 2019 and built it around putting the client ahead of the transaction. The team has grown to 800+ people since, 300+ of them licensed loan officers. The standard has not moved.

Our loan officers are licensed in the states where they originate loans, supported by processing, underwriting, disclosure and closing teams, and every loan has a name attached to it.
