How we got here.
George Abro found the mortgage business while studying finance at Michigan State University. He started working in it after graduating in 2015, with one goal: help people reach real financial stability.
Nathan Shamo was on a different path entirely. He had earned a doctorate in pharmacy when a conversation at a family gathering turned into a career change.
The two founded MortgagePros in Troy, Michigan in 2019 and built it around putting the client ahead of the transaction. The team has grown to 800+ people since, 300+ of them licensed loan officers. The standard has not moved.

Behind the founders is a team of loan officers, processors and underwriting support who handle thousands of files a year. Our loan officers are licensed in the states where they originate loans, supported by processing, underwriting, disclosure and closing teams, and every loan has a name attached to it.
